Biggest Penthouse in Dubai’s History for $164 Million

Throughout his illustrious 35-year career as a prolific actor and stand-up comedian, David Spade has built a substantial fortune. Two years ago, he showcased his financial strength by investing nearly $14 million in a new mansion in the Hollywood Hills, perched above the vibrant Sunset Strip. Now, adding to his impressive real estate portfolio, the 59-year-old Michigan native has acquired another property – an all-new beach house in the exclusive Cameo Highlands community in Newport Beach’s Corona Del Mar neighborhood, approximately an hour south of Los Angeles.

While the recently completed house was not on the market at the time of Spade’s purchase, it is reported to have cost him $9.5 million. Limited photos are available, but the landlocked beach residence promises dazzling ocean and sunset views from its hillside location. The contemporary single-story home spans about 3,800 square feet and features four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, with oversized windows flooding the space with natural light.

Architected by local designer Mark Teale and developed by Nicholson Companies, the house boasts an open floor plan with an atrium entryway, a media room, a spacious office, and a central great room showcasing a stylish European-style kitchen equipped with top-notch SubZero and Miele appliances. Renderings and previous marketing details suggest additional highlights like an infinity-edged pool and spa, a cutting-edge solar panel system, and a loggia-covered patio perfect for al fresco dining and entertaining. All four bedrooms include ensuite bathrooms, and the home’s soft, neutral color palette allows the focus to remain on the stunning views and the nearby ocean.

While direct beach access is not provided, the property is a short distance from the renowned Crystal Cove State Beach and only minutes away from the various dining and shopping options in Laguna Beach and Newport.

In addition to his Hollywood Hills residence and the new Corona Del Mar beach house, Spade owns a cozy $2.3 million bungalow near West Hollywood. Brenda McCroskey of Compass represented the Corona Del Mar listing, and Stuart Vetterick of Hilton & Hyland represented the buyer.
