Three oceanfront properties owned by healthcare entrepreneur Mark Mitchell from Michigan are now on the market simultaneously in South Florida. Situated in the exclusive Veromar neighborhood of Vero Beach, with direct views of the Atlantic, these properties come with a hefty price tag of $76 million in total. The ensemble includes two mansions and an empty lot. The larger mansion is listed for $42 million, the smaller one for just under $20 million, both represented by Cindy O’Dare, Richard Boga, and Kristin Dobson of the O’Dare Boga Dobson Group at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. Additionally, the vacant parcel is asking for $14 million.
These properties were acquired by Mitchell and his wife Colby in two separate transactions. They purchased a contemporary residence at 3700 Ocean Drive from Alloy founder and chairman Katherine McConvey for $16.8 million in the summer of 2021. Subsequently, they bought two adjacent lots at 3750 Ocean Drive and 3746 Ocean Drive, also owned by the developer, for $4.2 million. Combined, the spread spans over 2.7 acres of land and boasts 400 feet of waterfront footage.
The largest modernist structure, covering 18,000 square feet with eight bedrooms and 12 baths, was built and designed in 2014 by architect Erik Helgen in collaboration with Alloy. Renovated inside and out by the Mitchells for $2 million, it sits on approximately 200 feet of oceanfront footage. The property features a glass-lined living area with a massive two-way fireplace and fiber-optic lighting installations by Sharon Marston. Situated on a 0.6-acre parcel with 100 feet of waterfront footage, it features limestone and hardwood floors, wood-beam ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling walls of glass offering ocean views. The property also includes a gourmet kitchen, elevator, primary bedrooms, office space, and entertainment room. Outside, there’s a beachfront lanai with a saltwater pool and spa, as well as a guesthouse atop the three-car garage.
Lastly, the 0.69-acre vacant parcel with 100 feet of ocean frontage is available, with plans for an 11,000-square-foot estate included.
Mitchell, known for founding Visiting Physicians Association and U.S. Medical Management, currently serves as managing partner of Mitchell Family Office, a private-equity firm investing in healthcare ventures. He also owns a primary home in Michigan and the Daxton Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan.
