Judd Apatow $32M Beverly Hills Mansion

Having recently sold their luxurious long-term residence in Los Angeles to prominent attorney Brian Panish for $27 million, Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann have made a notable real estate move by acquiring a smaller yet pricier property in an arguably more upscale part of the city. Their new abode, purchased for nearly $32 million, is a single-story marvel located in the western area of Beverly Hills.

The seller of this lavish property is apparel mogul Maurice Marciano, co-founder of the Guess clothing brand. Interestingly, the sale price of $32 million represents a decrease of approximately $3.6 million from what Marciano paid for the house just a year prior, when he acquired it for a substantial $35.5 million.

Originally constructed in the 1950s as a modest midcentury ranch-style home, the residence underwent an extensive rebuild and expansion in recent years. Concealed from view by locked gates and towering hedges, the opulent and meticulously crafted dwelling is described as an “embodiment of architecture as art.” Spanning 9,300 square feet, the mansion offers five bedrooms and seven bathrooms on nearly an acre of land close to historic Greystone Manor. Its amenities include a dark-bottom swimming pool, lush lawns, and well-manicured gardens.

Noteworthy features of the property include a “floating” entryway seemingly suspended over moat-like water features, hand-combed limestone interiors, imported white oak flooring, exotic marble surfaces, and a media room enveloped in luxurious cashmere. The layout of the house is characterized by a flexible floorplan, with walls of steel and glass that can be effortlessly concealed or revealed at the touch of a button, offering both cozy and expansive living spaces.

Each of the five bedrooms boasts ensuite bathrooms and private gardens, with the primary suite featuring a sitting area and boutique-style dressing room. The kitchen is designed for grand-scale entertaining, equipped with dual marble islands and high-end stainless appliances. Other amenities include a library, a gym, and a formal dining room with silk ceilings and walls, complemented by a temperature-controlled glass wine closet.

The property also offers garage space for up to five cars and a spacious cobblestone motorcourt. The park-like grounds feature an outdoor fireplace surrounded by a lounge area, along with multiple areas dedicated to outdoor dining and relaxation.

Despite their purchase in Beverly Hills, Apatow, a prolific Hollywood director and producer known for films like “Bridesmaids,” “Knocked Up,” and “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” and Mann, continue to maintain a $9 million condominium in New York City’s picturesque West Village neighborhood.
