Sugar Ray Leonard’s Los Angeles Mansion

Renowned boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard recently made a significant adjustment to the price of his picturesque Los Angeles residence, adorned with ivy and boasting a Tuscan-style design. The reduction amounted to $4 million, bringing the current asking price just below $40 million. The celebrated six-time world champion and Olympic gold medalist, along with his wife, Bernadette Robi, originally listed their expansive eight-bedroom villa in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood back in 2019, initially seeking $51.995 million. However, according to listing records, the price has undergone multiple reductions since then.

Branden Williams, the listing agent from Beverly Hills Estates, emphasized the property’s remarkable value, particularly considering its prime location and rich celebrity history. Williams, collaborating with his wife and colleague, Rayni, along with Josh and Matt Altman of the Altman Brothers at Douglas Elliman, noted the rarity of finding a home on such desirable land in an A-plus location.

The couple acquired the sprawling property with 1950s origins in 1993, embarking on a reconstruction project in the late 1990s in collaboration with renowned architect Richard Landry, often referred to as the “king of the megamansion.” The architectural transformation aimed to capture the essence of Old World Italian design, incorporating imported stone and custom timber features. With their children now grown and no longer residing at home, the couple is seeking to downsize, as previously reported by Mansion Global.

Encompassing nearly 17,000 square feet, the Italianate residence boasts beamed ceilings, stone columns, and majestic fireplaces. The interior features a chef’s kitchen equipped with professional-grade appliances, two islands, and a spacious pantry. Additional highlights include a solarium, a two-story galleried family room, and a secluded living room. The property also offers a screening room, playroom, game room, and a wine cellar, as detailed in the listing.

Situated on almost 2 acres in the upper Riviera enclave of Pacific Palisades, the estate features meticulously landscaped grounds with a pool, a two-story guest house, a lit tennis court complemented by a viewing area, and a putting green. The residence reflects the couple’s dedication to creating an Italian-inspired haven with modern amenities, presenting an enticing prospect for potential buyers in search of luxury living.
