Gene Simmons’ Nevada Mansion

This past weekend, KISS rocker Gene Simmons sold his home and adjacent lot in Las Vegas for $11 million, just $200,000 more than he paid for the properties not quite two years ago, when he bought them.

With a price tag of $8.2 million for the three-level house and another $2.6 million for the adjacent half-acre lot that together make up just under an acre, the 73-year-old rock-and-roll royal bought a three-level house.

The vacant parcel has been transformed into almost entirely shaded private park and walking path with views of neon lights from most rooms. Simmons planted more than 130 trees on the vacant parcel.

It’s been more than six months since Simmons moved from California to Nevada back in 2021, but he was living in the vicinity of Sin City only six months before embarking on the KISS world tour that was finished last year.

Previously, he stated that he loved the house, and all of the tax benefits Nevada offers, but that his family was not comfortable with the excessive desert heat (or the “strippers down the street”), so he decided to sell the house.

Simmons listed the home and lot adjacent to the house for almost million, according to Rich Report. The price dropped steadily during the following months and at one point Simmons indicated he would accept cryptocurrency.

Last year, the house and lot were separated into their own listings; records indicate the house was last priced at million and the park-like parcel at $1.8 million.

In 2021, Simmons purchased the house (and the vacant lot) from IS Luxury in Las Vegas, which was represented by Evangelina Duke-Petroni of IS Luxury in Las Vegas.

According to Duke-Petroni, Simmons made several improvements to the property, notably to the vacant parcel, and thus will not be making any profit from it. The buyer’s agent was Christopher Logan with Realty One Group.

In the marketing material, the transition between indoor and outdoor spaces is blurred by disappearing glass walls, which highlight the glass walls and geometrical spaces. In addition to blending the indoor space with the outdoor landscape.

The property features disappearing glass walls throughout. As part of the home’s linear artistry, natural stone, wood accents, and unfinished concrete are mixed together to create a sensory experience.

This home has 3,963 square feet on the first floor and 3,882 square feet on the second floor, as well as a finished basement of 3,026 square feet and a basement garage of 2,284 square feet. All floors are serviced by an elevator.

Due to the large saltwater fish tank behind the bar, the main suite on the second floor feels like it’s floating over the desert and city lights.

“I’m very happy my client found a buyer who appreciates the property,” Duke-Petroni explained. “He appreciates the privacy and exclusivity of the property. That was a big selling point for them.”

It’s not clear if Simmons intends to buy another home in the Las Vegas area in order to take advantage of the tax benefits. However, he and his wife Shannon Tweed moved back home to California several years ago where they bought a big contemporary home in Beverly Hills for .5 million.
