Megayacht that Can Reach 26 Knots Across Water

Go-anywhere vessels have a range of more than 3,000 nautical miles, making them especially suitable for long crossings.

His latest concept is designed by Franco Gnessi of Dynaship Yacht Design.

A 200-foot megayacht named Bullet has a rather minimalist exterior that cleverly conceals a rather complex interior. Simply put, the true extent of the yacht isn’t immediately apparent.

Bullet’s sleek, aerodynamic silhouette is inspired by automotive design and characterized by its sinuous lines. The Italian designer used a classic displacement hull to give the vessel plenty of grit and seaworthiness, and the vessel even has the long nose (or foredeck) of a Prancing Horse. On second thought, perhaps it looks more like a Porsche Cayenne than a Ferrari.‍

The yacht is also designed to have minimal environmental impact. It is equipped with four 2,000 hp electro-diesel generators, which produce the majority of the power. A few solar panels are also installed on the yacht to generate clean, green energy for the hotel. A pair of azipods powered by electric motors generate 1,940 kW of power, allowing Bullet to cruise at 22 knots and reach 26 knots at top speed.‍

In terms of autonomy, Bullet is expected to cruise quietly at a speed of eight knots for about 90 minutes on pure electricity. It has a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 14 knots, making it a great choice for long crossings. Right now, it sounds more like the zero-emissions Q8 E-Tron SUV from Audi.‍

As for the interior volume, Bullet offers a staggering 975 GT. The living quarters are a perfect example of “Made in Italy,” with its decor and furnishings showcasing the best of the boot-shaped nation. Although Gnessi says the hotel has plenty of spaces for parties, it also places a high value on privacy so guests can relax and unwind.

There’s no right or wrong way to look at Bullet, it’s just a matter of perspective.
