A 252 feet long Bonkers Megayacht Concept

As a tribute to the ocean’s waves, the vessel was named Swell.

Anthony Glasson was not satisfied with catching a glimpse of marine life on most yachts.

In his latest megayacht concept, M51 Concepts’ disruptive designer has unveiled two multi-story jellyfish aquariums inside, giving seafarers a closer look at the underwater world.‍

Designed by M51 inside and out, Swell is named after surface gravity waves. Its exterior styling is also influenced by the moniker. Long, flowing lines echo the curves of the sea on the vessel’s steel hull and lightweight aluminum superstructure. Expansive windows further allow for an outside view.‍

This yacht has an impressive interior volume of 1,400 GT and a beam of 36 feet. In order to emphasize the surrounding environment, the interior was kept quite minimalistic. A split-level layout creates a sense of connection between the different areas and creates a feeling of luxury duplex apartments.‍

In the center of Swell is a sprawling, dual-deck entertainment area with dining rooms, lounges, bars and aquariums. There are four cabins on the main deck with floor-to-ceiling windows and beds facing outward for spectacular views. Another four cabins can be found on the lower deck, each with a different layout. Swell sleeps 12 guests, plus crew. The interior also boasts a high-tech gym and wellness center.‍

The upper deck is home to a generous alfresco dining table with seating for 12 people, a large pool and Jacuzzi with plenty of sunbeds. On top of that, Swell is equipped with a full-beam garage where two tenders and a few Jet Skis can be kept.

An engine, three electric generators and a battery pack power the hybrid propulsion system in terms of grunt. The studio did not provide an estimated top speed, but Swell has a range of approximately 6,000 nautical miles, and she seems to be able to move like a wave as well.
