A local couple has purchased the longtime Hidden Hills estate of the late and legendary Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully, just two months after it first appeared on the market. A quick jog away, real estate developer Cary Lefton and wife Marla have long owned a smaller Hidden Hills tennis court estate.
Home Plate, affectionately called “Home Plate,” was originally listed for $15 million, but went to the Leftons for $14 million. In spring 2009, the legendary Dodgers icon, who died in April at age 94, paid $1.6 million for the property.
He lived in the guard-gated Hidden Hills community for most of his life, and was known simply as “Vinny” to his closest neighbors. During their frequent walks through the area, the New York native and his wife Sandi, who passed away in 2021, were often seen together.
