Vergara has been living in her new Los Angeles home for two years, a Tuscan villa-style mansion in Beverly Park that is guarded by a gated community. So it’s really no surprise that her old house, a slightly smaller Tuscan-style estate located just down the hill, is now on the market – asking $19.6 million. The listing was first reported by TMZ and is managed by Sotheby’s International Realty’s Barry Peele.

It sits fairly close to the road but is nearly invisible from the road, well hidden behind walls, gates, and an enormous hedge. The front-facing garage has room for three cars, plus a motor court.In 2014, Vergara paid $10.6 million for the 0.6-acre property. In the past few years, the “Modern Family” star and her husband Joe Manganiello have completely remodeled the 2006-built home under the guidance of LA-based designer Jennifer Bevan, transforming the oppressively brown interiors of its 11,000 square feet into a chic contemporary blend of whites, blacks and earthy tones.

An all-new chef’s kitchen packs in a trove of premium appliances and a large center island beyond the two-story foyer where an elegantly curved staircase winds up to the top floor. A chandelier, dark brown hardwood floors, fireplace, and/or French doors open to the garden greet you in all of the spacious living, family, and dining rooms.Even though the current listing does not include photos of the bedrooms, there are seven in total — five “family” bedrooms and two staff rooms.
