New Grecian-Inspired 263-Foot Superyacht

The launch of the second hull in a superyacht series is often seen as less eventful, but Biglin’s Leona defies this convention with its exceptional features.

Leona is the second vessel in the Bilgin 263 series to be completed at the Turkish shipyard, making it the largest privately-owned superyacht ever built in the country. While sharing the DNA of its sister yacht, Tatiana, Leona incorporates several distinctive design elements that set it apart.

Designed with exterior lines and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design, Leona maintains the sleek, bullet-like silhouette of its predecessor and is constructed from a blend of steel and aluminum. Its striking red and white hull color scheme contributes to its unique appearance, along with its glass fashion plate. Notably, adjustments to the mast design enhance the yacht’s sporty character.

The five-deck layout of Leona has undergone modifications as well. While it has fewer cabins than Tatiana, they are more spacious and opulent. The four guest cabins on the main deck have been replaced with two generous VIP suites featuring dual bathrooms and dressing rooms. The third cabin has been transformed into an expansive owner’s dressing room, and the superstructure has been extended aft to create a luxurious owner’s suite. The owner also enjoys a dedicated lounge area with access to a private pool.

The interior, designed by H2 Yacht Design, exudes luxury with features like backlit onyx, gold inlays, and polished timbers throughout. The living spaces are centered around a striking main saloon, adorned with a cozy fireplace, Roberto Cavalli furniture, and a mini aquarium. Additional extravagant interior highlights include a gym, sauna, sky lounge, and cinema.

However, the true highlight of Leona is its beach club. While it shares the same layout as Tatiana’s club, its décor is entirely unique. Marble adorns the walls and floors, while a ceiling designed with a “night sky” pattern casts light upon Greek statues and a tiled pool below. On the starboard side, a bar adorned with amethyst and agate provides an elegant setting, while the port side houses a hookah room with fold-down sea terraces. From the beach club, guests can access the swim platform or the main deck’s infinity pool for alfresco swimming.

Leona represents a remarkable achievement in the world of superyachts, and the delivery of the third hull in the Bilgin 263 series is eagerly anticipated in 2024, potentially setting another exceptional precedent.
