Tony Stewart’s $22.5 Million Indiana Ranch

Get ready to rev up your engines and open your checkbooks because NASCAR legend Tony Stewart, fondly known as “Smoke” by his legions of fans, is once again listing his expansive ranch in Indiana. Nestled on the outskirts of his picturesque hometown of Columbus, just an hour’s drive from Indianapolis, this luxurious property, originally priced at a hefty $30 million in 2022, is now back on the market with a significantly reduced price tag of $22.5 million.

Stewart acquired the property in the early 2000s, demolishing an existing house to create the “Hidden Hollow Ranch,” completed in 2011. The centerpiece of this estate is a nearly 20,000-square-foot lodgepole pine home sourced from the Northern Rockies, featuring six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, all situated on over 400 acres of land adorned with a 9-acre bass-stocked lake. As a licensed hunting preserve, the grounds are teeming with elk, deer, and turkey, offering ample opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.

A veteran NASCAR driver with a career spanning two decades, the 52-year-old Stewart retired after the 2016 season as a three-time Cup Series champion, earning induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2020. He currently co-owns the Stewart-Haas Racing team with industrialist Gene Haas and is also fielding a Top Fuel dragster for his wife, Leah Pruett, a California-born racer who is taking a break from the 2024 season to focus on starting a family.

Describing his custom-designed residence as his “dream home,” Stewart has expressed his love for every corner of the property, stating that there’s always something to do, whether it’s hunting, fishing, off-roading, or simply stargazing from the porch.

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by walls and gates leading to a lengthy driveway that passes through a covered bridge before reaching a circular drive and porte-cochère adorned with a grand deer-antler chandelier. The entrance into the stone and pine structure is marked by double front doors, opening into a unique foyer featuring a two-story waterfall and koi-filled stream.

Inside, a wood bridge leads to a majestic great room boasting expansive picture windows, a towering fireplace, an 8,700-gallon freshwater aquarium, and an 85-inch retractable TV. The adjacent kitchen is equipped with hickory cabinetry, a hibachi grill with a commercial-grade exhaust system, and high-end Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, connected to a formal dining area and family room.

The residence comprises six en-suite bedrooms, including a lavish master retreat with a fireplace and spa-like bath featuring dual vanities, a spa tub, and a glass-encased shower. Additional amenities include an 8,500-square-foot lower level with a lighted onyx bar, billiards and golf simulator rooms, a two-lane bowling alley, and a gym.

The property also features a 3,500-square-foot guesthouse occupied by the ranch’s full-time gatekeeper, along with a workshop, six-car garage, and extensive grounds offering various recreational activities. Furthermore, the estate is zoned for use as a bed and breakfast, providing an additional opportunity for income generation.
