Steve Wynn’s Five-Star Las Vegas Mansion

As a result of two years on and off the market, billionaire businessman Steve Wynn has sold his Sin City mansion for $17.5 million. Although the sale price is far below the last ask of $24.5 million, it is several million more than the $13 million the former casino titan paid in March 2018 and is the highest residential sale for the year to date in Las Vegas.

After numerous harassment and sexual misconduct allegations were reported in The Wall Street Journal in 2018, Wynn resigned as CEO of Wynn Resorts. He denied the allegations. While he and his wife, Andrea Hissom, had lived in the plush duplex villa at the Wynn Las Vegas for about a decade, he was evicted as part of a separation agreement with the company he founded in 2002 and still bears his name. The turn of events forced Wynn and Hissom to look for a new place to live when in town, where they could shack up.

Hot Property: Steve Wynn lists massive Las Vegas mansion for $25 million - Los Angeles TimesLocated in Country Club Hills, a guard-gated development about 12 miles west of The Strip, in Summerlin, the ochre-colored Mediterranean mansion was custom built in 2001 for Wynn’s brother Kenny Wynn and his wife Dale, who sold it for $6.75 million in 2009. The second owner remodeled the mansion before selling it to Wynn, who then remodeled it again.

It sits behind huge iron gates on nearly 1.5 acres of lush vegetation and is dubbed Museo by the avid contemporary art collector who owns works by Matisse and Picasso. In about 15,000 square feet, there are six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, three powder rooms, and a trio of powder rooms. If the interiors resemble the alternatively mannered and showy opulence of a five-star hotel, that’s probably because Todd-Avery Lenahan, one of the hospitality industry’s leading designers, is currently Wynn Design & Development’s president and chief creative officer.Casino Tycoon Steve Wynn Relists Las Vegas Mansion With a Price Trim - Mansion GlobalCasino Tycoon Steve Wynn Relists Las Vegas Mansion With a Price Trim - Mansion GlobalSteve Wynn's $25 Million Mansion/Museum! | Top Ten Real Estate DealsSteve Wynn's $25 Million Mansion/Museum! | Top Ten Real Estate DealsCasino Tycoon Steve Wynn Relists Las Vegas Mansion With a Price Trim - Mansion GlobalSteve Wynn's Las Vegas Home Asks $25 Million - Mansion GlobalInside Steve Wynn's $25M Las Vegas MansionBillionaire Casino Mogul Steve Wynn Lists Beverly Hills Estate For $110 Million | Hilton & HylandInside Steve Wynn's $25M Las Vegas MansionWith the highest quality materials and finishes, the humongous house has been built to exacting standards. The double-height foyer is accented by a dramatic lighted and crystal accented staircase, custom carpets, electronic window coverings, marble floors, and mohair and silk walls. Even the four-car garage got a deluxe treatment, with arched doors and travertine floor tiles emblazoned with a Louis Vuitton wedding ring quilt pattern.

Aside from the usual rooms — spacious formal living and dining rooms, high-end gourmet kitchen with sunny breakfast area, etc. Plus, there are two executive-sized offices with unique ceiling treatments and a family room with a wine cellar that is temperature-controlled. Each of the guest bedrooms has a private bathroom, while the spacious master bedroom boasts two deluxe (and fully carpeted) bathrooms and two huge walk-in closets lined with piano-finish white lacquer built-ins.

The smart home technology that controls the heating, cooling, lighting, and audio-visual equipment is also noteworthy. These amenities include high-tech security, a fire suppression system, and high-tech security.

A large motor court, a secondary motor court with garage access, a boxwood-trimmed rose garden with a tiered fountain at its center, and vast swathes of easy-to-maintain ever-green artificial turf surround the TPC Summerlin course and are surrounded by hedgerows of arborvitae and other foliage surrounding the estate. The swimming pool is surrounded by palm trees, and the property’s slight elevation allows for scenic views of the mountains that form Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

A regular in the property gossip columns, Wynn owns a number of ultra-expensive homes across the country, as well as a ship-sized boat. As of right now, his holdings include a $70 million penthouse at the Ritz Carlton in New York, a $43 million oceanfront estate in Palm Beach, and a Beverly Hills mansion that was originally listed for 5 million, but is now going for $100 million. There is a glass-bottom swimming pool and helipad on Wynn’s big boat, Aquarius, which is 302 feet long. Not that he needs the money — Forbes estimates he sits on $3.3 billion fortune — but the art-filled luxury liner, where Roy Lichtenstein’s “In the Car” hangs behind a wet bar in one of many lounges, can be rented for $1.5 million per week, plus expenses.
