Palm Springs Home Once Owned by Frank Sinatra

The chalet-style retreat that was constructed according to the specifications of the legend was originally built in 1967 as a retreat for the musician.

The holiday season is the perfect time to get in the holiday spirit, there’s nothing better. The first Palm Springs Modernism Week will take place from February 16-18, and one of the highlights of the week will be a tour of Sinatra’s one-time desert hideaway Villa Maggio, built in the 1950s, as part of the first Palm Springs Modernism Week. In spite of the fact that the tickets for this event are already sold out, those who did not get a ticket should keep an eye out for open house events that will take place at the house very soon. Aside from that, Rich Report has also learned that the five-bedroom, six-bathroom house is set to go on the market during the winter months, around the time when midcentury-modern Mecca draws design lovers to this midcentury-modern Mecca for its beauty and comfort. Frank Sinatra's Palm Springs: A Tour of His HangoutsThere has been no shortage of listings for this chalet-style hilltop dwelling in recent years, and it is certainly not the first. Currently, the home has been owned by the current owner since 1997, and it has bounced on and off the market numerous times since then, including last year, when it was on the market again. In 1967, architect Ross Patton began building the house outside of Palm Springs in the more secluded (but rapidly developing) suburb of Palm Desert, which is located about 2 hours from Palm Springs.  In addition to the 7.5 acres of land that the property occupies, there are a pool, tennis court, and helicopter pad. Aside from the main house, there is a guest house with three bedrooms and a pool house with one bedroom that also belong to the property.

In the interior of the house, many of Sinatra’s original design details are visible, including the wallpaper selected by the singer himself, the wood paneling, and the orange tile backsplash in the kitchen, which was a favorite item of the singer. The building looks outdated, to be sure, but it is also a piece of history that has been preserved well over the years. 1148 East Alejo Road: Twin Palms70588 Frank Sinatra Drive, Rancho MirageRat Packer celebrity home addresses in Palm SpringsThe main kitchen which remains the same as it was when Sinatra lived in the home.Sinatras former bedroom in the main house. The property boasts fantastic views of the surrounding desert.Frank Sinatras House Palm Springs | Palm Springs Frank Sinatra's Real EstateIt is important to note that Villa Maggio (named after Sinatra’s character in the film From Here to Eternity, for which he won an Oscar) was not the only house Sinatra owned in the area during this time. It was in 1947 that he commissioned architect E. Stewart Williams to design and build his Palm Springs midcentury-modern home, Twin Palms, which is now referred to as a four bedroom home. This home can be rented out as a vacation rental today, if you wish to stay there.

Markus Canter of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties has been assigned to list the Palm Desert pad, and he hasn’t yet announced whether the asking price has been set yet.
