Geoffrey Frid of Compass has just listed a light-filled condominium on the 42nd floor of Century City’s elliptical Century tower for almost $14 million.
It was acquired for $8.13 million in 2017 – more than $300,000 above the asking price – from a Kuwaiti heiress who once owned the 4,450-square-foot spread! — by a company tied to Nikita Kahn, the longtime girlfriend of billionaire software tycoon Larry Ellison, who collects trophy houses at the age of 78.
The 30-something-year-old Russian-born model/actress has been rarely photographed together in recent years, but she uses one of Ellison’s beachfront homes in Malibu’s Carbon Beach as her official address despite rarely being photographed together. In numerous public records, Nikita Kahn Ellison is listed as her maiden name, despite the fact that they are not known to have married.
As an animal rights activist, Kahn’s personal promotional material reveals that she is passionate about designing homes with classic pieces, neutral color palettes, and touches of timeless sophistication. The aerie fits that design brief perfectly with its four bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms.
In this monochromatic modern space framed by giant windows dressed in automated cashmere shades, the vast city views are framed by massive windows with automated cashmere shades. Among the furniture are most from RH (formerly Restoration Hardware) and a few vintage pieces, including Paul Evans’ wood and chrome “Cityscape” dining table. Previously, she owned a second unit at The Century – which she purchased for $6 million in 2017 and then sold for $7.25 million in 2021 – and she currently owns: another spacious condo in another luxury building along Wilshire Boulevard; a beachfront home in Santa Monica, bought about 1.5 years ago for a bit more than $6.2 million; and an Aspen, Colo., four-bedroom townhouse, purchased in 2016.
