Emma Stone’s $4.3 Million Charming L.A. Bungalow

In Los Angeles, Emma Stone continues to enjoy success, following her recent Golden Globe win for her role in the film “Poor Things.” Just a month after listing her Spanish-style bungalow in the Comstock Hills area of Westwood for just under $4 million, the acclaimed actress has already sold the property to a new owner.

Public records reveal that Stone, who primarily resides in Austin, Texas, has sold the home that her mother had long occupied to Marguerite Brokaw, the widow of the renowned William Morris talent agent Norman Brokaw, for $4.3 million. This marks a significant increase of $2 million from what Stone originally paid for the modest yet charming residence a little over four years ago, back in the spring of 2019.

Nestled beyond a brick pathway leading to the original tiled courtyard through a sage-green door, the house features creamy stucco walls and a terracotta roof, reflecting its 1920s origins. During Stone’s ownership, the property underwent extensive updates. Inside, the colorful living space spans over 3,200 square feet, adorned with era-appropriate wood-beam ceilings and wide arched doorways.

Among its features, an entry foyer welcomes guests with a graceful iron-railed staircase leading to a sunken fireside living room, complete with built-in shelving and French doors opening to the outdoors. Additionally, there’s a formal dining area and a cozy sitting room connected to an eat-in kitchen equipped with all-white wood cabinetry, a turquoise-hued range, and a farmhouse sink.

The primary bedroom boasts a stylish bath featuring a vanity with a sink and dressing area, along with a vintage clawfoot soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower. Completing the property is a one-bedroom guesthouse with its own kitchen and living room, along with a gated driveway at the front.

Apart from her recently sold Westwood residence and her primary residence in Texas, Stone also owns a luxurious apartment in New York City. In 2022, she sold a midcentury ranch-style house overlooking Malibu’s Las Tunas Beach to David Cooley, the longtime owner of The Abbey Food & Bar in West Hollywood, for $4.4 million. This marked a substantial increase of nearly $1.2 million from the price Stone paid for the property in 2018.
