Johnny Galecki’s Hollywood Estate

Johnny Galecki is ready to permanently unload his Los Angeles home after putting it up for lease more than a year ago. But he’s not exactly giving it away; the current $11.9 million ask is significantly north of the $9.2 million he paid for the place back in 2015.

Depending on its current list price, the property will be among the most expensive homes ever sold in Outpost Estates, a celebrity-favored neighborhood in the eastern Hollywood Hills that is currently home to Winona Ryder, Felicity Huffman, Russell Brand, and Madelaine Petsch, among others. The half-acre hideaway includes a 1920s villa, guesthouse, speakeasy pub and mosaic pool. The half-acre hideaway.Big Bang Theory' star Johnny Galecki lists Spanish hideaway for $11.9 million - Los Angeles TimesAccording to the L.A. Times, Galecki’s house is a celebrity hotspot — it was once owned by Jason Statham, and before him by Ben Stiller, who commissioned Roman and James to expand and restore the decadent home. The former owner was actor Lou Diamond Phillips, according to records.

As a result of the historical heritage, the digs are packed with amenities. A 1920s Spanish-style compound spanning more than half an acre features a two-story main house and a separate guesthouse with six bedrooms. Several period details abound — a traditional clay tile roof, antique fixtures, restored terracotta tiles, and even an original speakeasy pub.

As all the furniture appears staged in the apartment at 2427 Castilian Drive, it appears Galecki hasn’t occupied it in a long time. Invisible from the street behind a tall, ivy-covered wall, this house offers a main level with a billiard room, an eat-in kitchen with premium appliances, a cozy television lounge, and a screening room with polished wood paneling and plush carpeting. A colorful tiled fountain, lush lawns, tropical foliage, and shady patio surround the entire compound. Additionally, the hotel has a mosaic-tiled swimming pool and spa as well as a covered dining terrace, fireplace, and built-in BBQ center for relaxation.

It was Galecki’s career-defining role as Leonard Hofstadter on “The Big Bang Theory” that made Galecki (and one of the world’s highest-paid actors, too) one of the world’s household names (and the world’s highest-earning actors, too), 45, who has been acting since the late 1980s. In recent years, the high school dropout has been reportedly spending a lot of time in Nashville and Franklin.
