Clippers Star Kawhi Leonard’s Downtown Los Angeles Penthouse

After owning it for four years, Kawhi Leonard has decided to put his Downtown Los Angeles penthouse back on the market. The two-time NBA champion seems eager to sell the luxurious residence, listing it for $6.5 million, which is approximately $200,000 less than what he originally paid for it.

Leonard acquired the penthouse for a little over $6.7 million in the winter of 2019, the same year he joined the Clippers as an All-Star forward. Situated on the 43rd floor of The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. Live, the unit is conveniently located steps away from the Crypto.com Arena. Since its opening in 2010, this exclusive building has been home to various celebrities, including former Entertainment Tonight host Mary Hart, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, Lakers guard Lonzo Ball, and filmmaker Jason Blum.

Complementing the luxurious living experience are numerous building amenities covered by a substantial $5,880 monthly HOA fee. These amenities include a dedicated concierge, a heated rooftop pool, a spa, a fitness center, valet parking, and round-the-clock hotel room service. Additionally, two parking spots are included with Leonard’s penthouse.

Despite listing his penthouse for sale, it appears that Leonard has no immediate plans to leave Los Angeles, especially since he recently signed a lucrative three-year, $152.4 million contract extension in January. Reports suggest that the decision to sell might be influenced by the Clippers’ upcoming move to the Inglewood-based Intuit Dome for the 2024-25 season. On the real estate front, the 32-year-old athlete, originally from Moreno Valley, still maintains ownership of a hilltop mansion in L.A.’s Pacific Palisades neighborhood, which he purchased for $17.1 million approximately three years ago.
