Tankoa’s S501 Grey Superyacht

After the Monaco Yacht Show last month, Tankoa Yachts is currently in the process of constructing a new 50-meter yacht, the S501 Grey, set to be delivered in June 2024. The “EVO” version represents an evolution in design, incorporating enhancements to technical specifications, equipment, and amenities. This bespoke vessel is meticulously crafted to the highest standards of the Genova, Italy-based shipyard, embracing the era of eco-friendly travel.

Distinguished by exterior stylings from Francesco Paszkowski and interior designs by Giorgio Cassetta, the S501 Grey stands as a testament to the latest evolution in luxury yacht design. Notably, the main and upper decks feature larger glass panes, reducing window mullions, and the sundeck has been expanded by an additional 10 square meters compared to its predecessors. The open layout contributes to a sense of spaciousness unmatched by other 50-meter yachts.

Giorgio Cassetta, the designer, describes the interior styling of the S501 Grey as eclectic, aiming to deliver a luxurious showcase of fine craftsmanship and exclusive materials while maintaining a cozy and warm atmosphere for extended relaxation on board.

The yacht’s 50-meter hull spans three decks, featuring innovative design elements such as an open-plan saloon and a dining area with full-height windows on the main deck. The VIP suite and full-beam master stateroom with walk-in wardrobe are positioned ahead, with asymmetrical fold-down balconies on the stateroom’s sides. The bridge’s open aft deck hosts al fresco dining.

Accommodating nine passengers, excluding the crew, the S501 Grey includes six luxurious guest cabins, two VIP cabins on the main deck, and walk-in wardrobe options in several non-VIP cabins. The lower deck’s forward section is crew-accessible, and the captain’s cockpit offers a state-of-the-art view of the open sea with multiple monitors for weather reports, GPS, and more.

The vessel showcases fine craftsmanship with woven saddle leather, custom-designed soles, and fabrics from renowned brands such as Dedar and Armani. Each cabin is adorned with acoustic leather wallpapers complemented by an exceptional sound system.

Outside, an expanded outdoor home cinema with a 144-inch HD screen and true-to-form surround sound is spread across all three decks. Customizations include a swimming pool in the bow and an unprecedented cinema/sound system. The sundeck provides ample space for relaxation, featuring sun loungers and a second large pool under a luxuriously shaded area with pop-up tables and a combined kitchen-bar unit. The materials used include painted aluminum, black-stained teak, and the largest-ever installed backlit black agate slab in a yacht.

The yacht’s interior includes a side-loading tender garage in the engine room, an airy beach club with a fold-down transom platform, gym gear, day head, and hammam. Powered by twin MAN main engines, the S501 Grey achieves a top speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots, with a range of 4,000 nautical miles.

With sleek and ingenious timeless design, the S501 Grey offers uninterrupted views of the water and landscape through glass bulwarks and fold-out balconies. The wide-open relaxation areas invite passengers to spread out, share, and relish their time on this maritime masterpiece. Custom light fixtures by Luce5 accentuate the interior color palettes, adding a touch of high-end luxury.
