Introducing Four Seasons’s Gargantuan 679-foot Cruise Ship

Four Seasons is embarking on a transformative endeavor within the realm of yachting, redefining conventional perceptions associated with the term. During a press conference held at the Monaco Yacht Show, company officials provided an update on the much-anticipated 679-foot vessel, initially announced last year. The endeavor is expected to entail a construction cost exceeding $420 million, with plans for its launch scheduled for late 2025.

Larry Pimental, President and CEO of Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, the entity responsible for overseeing the vessel’s design and construction, emphasized the unparalleled nature of this superyacht on a global scale. Accommodating 195 guests in 95 lavish suites, complemented by a dedicated crew of approximately 210 professionals, this venture represents a novel hybrid category in yachting. Pimental highlighted the exceptional space allocated per passenger, establishing the highest space ratio within the passenger-shipping industry, with an astounding investment of $4.3 million per cabin—an unparalleled commitment.

Further distinguishing this venture is the utilization of Four Seasons chefs and staff as the vessel’s crew, setting it apart from private superyachts in the industry.

Revealing additional design details, the vessel boasts a distinctive four-deck “Funnel” suite located at the front of the yacht, spanning over 9,500 square feet and featuring the largest curved glass structure among leisure vessels. The Funnel’s lower level encompasses a full-deck apartment equipped with a private kitchen and access to an exclusive outdoor deck. Innovative sliding walls offer flexibility, allowing for adaptable living spaces throughout the yacht.

While specific renderings of staterooms and interior areas were not released, Four Seasons President and CEO Alejandro Reynal assured that interior designs are nearing completion, with final approvals imminent. Notably, the Four Seasons Yacht has captured the attention of the brand’s discerning clientele, with many of its top patrons anticipated to be among the inaugural guests aboard the vessel.

Tillberg Design is the creative force behind the yacht’s design, imbuing it with a yacht-like ambiance distinct from traditional cruise ships. Beyond the Funnel, another prominent exterior feature is the impressive 66-foot-long swimming pool, inspired by the iconic 1960s superyacht Christina O, which hosted world leaders and Hollywood luminaries.

The vessel’s construction will be entrusted to the renowned Italian shipyard Fincantieri. Technical innovations include what the company terms the world’s first “variable-speed diesels,” advanced stabilization systems, and the potential to transition to green methane power as technology progresses. Extensive testing of over 1,000 hull shapes has been conducted to optimize performance.

The yacht will also feature two “marinas,” deployable from opposite sides of the vessel, allowing guests to access tenders and engage in various water sports activities.

The target audience for this venture is not exclusively yacht owners or maritime enthusiasts but rather high-net-worth individuals who seek the pinnacle of luxury travel experiences. Pimental underscored the uniqueness of this endeavor, emphasizing the design’s adaptability, the caliber of luxury offered, and the generously proportioned staterooms as distinguishing attributes.

The inaugural season will encompass winter and spring cruises in the Caribbean, followed by voyages to the Mediterranean, exploring the French and Italian Rivieras and the Greek islands. The itinerary for the first year spans 33 countries and 137 destinations, with two additional yachts slated to join the fleet in 2026 and 2027.
