Tiffany & Co. and Patek Philippe’s Newest Collaboration

A final version of Ref. 5711 has been released.

A bright blue bang closes out the year for Patek Philippe.

Earlier this year, Tiffany & Co. discontinued the coveted Nautilus model. This new Nautilus Ref. 5711 will be the last of that model, with Tiffany & Co.’s signature blue dial. Just 170 pieces will be available at $52,635, so act fast to get yours. They will be available only at Tiffany boutiques that carry Patek Philippe, in New York, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco. If you are unable to find one at retail—and rest assured, you will need to have extensive experience buying from the brands to do so—you can buy one at a Phillips auction on December 11, when one of the watches will be auctioned. The Nature Conservancy, a global environmental organization, will benefit from the sale.

The last Ref. 5711 honors a 170-year partnership between Tiffany & Co. and Patek Philippe

Tiffany & Co. and Patek Philippe were founded within two years of each other in 1837 and 1839. Tiffany became the first official Patek Philippe retailer in the United States in 1851 as a result of their partnership. Moreover, Patek has created a number of limited edition watches for Tiffany dating back to the turn of the 21st century, and Tiffany is the only retailer in the world to be featured on a Patek dial. In 2019, a navy blue Ref. 5711 signed by the jeweler sold at Sotheby’s Important Watches auction for $150,000. These Tiffany & Co.-signed watches have become increasingly valuable to collectors.

‍The latest version is not only signed by both Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co., but also marked with “170th Anniversary 1851-2021 Tiffany & Co. – Patek Philippe” on the sapphire-crystal caseback. In addition to housing the self-winding caliber 26-330 SC, the watch features an integrated steel bracelet featuring satin-finished and polished links that are hand-applied in 55 steps.

The dial on this particular Nautilus will stand out across the room and certainly distinguish it from any other 5711, making it one of the most coveted watches of the year. If you would like to grab one up in New York, the Tiffany & Co. flagship is currently undergoing major renovations, but next door, the Patek Philippe shop-in-shop boutique can be found on the second floor of a sprawling multi-level building. Be quick!
