While you might not possess the skills of a Grand Slam champion on the tennis court, you can certainly indulge in the luxury of traveling like one.
Louis Vuitton has joined forces with tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz to craft a distinctive Malle Vestiaire wardrobe trunk, tailored to accommodate his gear and yours. This opulent wooden creation offers ample space for storing memorabilia from Alcaraz’s victories at the 2022 U.S. Open and the 2023 Wimbledon, including his trophies. Adorned in the iconic Monogram canvas crafted in France, it showcases Louis Vuitton’s signature brass clasps, closures, and rivets originating from the 1860s. What sets this iteration apart are the four hand-painted logos on its exterior.
Inspired by Alcaraz’s tennis journey, these logos feature his initials “C.A,” a silhouette capturing him in action, a tennis ball with the inscription “Since 2003,” and a crest displaying the LV name and crossed racquets. Opening the trunk reveals a quilted interior replete with compartments, including five microfiber-lined drawers, each boasting a cowhide handle, and a larger central section with woven cotton straps, paying homage to Louis Vuitton’s historic trunk design.
Alcaraz’s luggage proudly displays key mementos, including the Nike shirt and shoes worn during his Wimbledon victory in 2023, and one of his Babolat racquets. These items, along with other Louis Vuitton accessories such as house-made tennis balls, the Horizon Light Up earphones, and a portable LV Nanogram speaker, are thoughtfully arranged within the trunk. Additional features include a Dopp Kit toiletry bag, a Nice Mini vanity case, and LV city guides for New York (host of the U.S. Open) and London (Wimbledon’s home).
This travel-ready trunk, a testament to Alcaraz’s partnership with Louis Vuitton since becoming an ambassador in June 2023, follows in the footsteps of a similar collaboration with rugby legend Dan Carter in September. Carter’s collaboration featured unique painted logos on an alternative black-and-silver Monogram Eclipse canvas. The pricing for Carlos Alcaraz’s Malle Vestiaire trunk is available upon request, with orders accepted through local Louis Vuitton client advisors.
