Aston Martin’s New Vantage Supercar

Aston Martin has unveiled the fastest Vantage model in its 74-year history, featuring a series of enhancements, including a top speed of 202 mph. The British luxury automaker has significantly boosted the car’s power, with the upgraded Vantage boasting a 4.0-liter Twin Turbo V8 engine generating 665 PS and 800 Nm of torque. This represents the most substantial increase in power and torque compared to its predecessor. The new Vantage accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, an improvement from the previous model’s 3.6 seconds.

Apart from the impressive performance upgrades, Aston Martin has fine-tuned the chassis architecture and introduced a new electronics system to enhance overall performance. The advanced dynamics control system incorporates data from various sensors, including the 6-axis accelerator, powertrain, and braking system, providing a comprehensive understanding of the car’s behavior. This information is then utilized in the Electronic Stability Program, offering drivers optimal control.

The exterior design of the new Vantage has been refreshed, featuring a body that is 30mm wider than its predecessors and a redesigned front end with an enlarged veined grille aperture for enhanced cooling. Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin, explained the design philosophy, saying, “To capture the new car’s huge uplift in power and performance, we have accentuated its physique, increasing its muscularity and sharpening its sculptural form. We took some inspiration from the One-77 supercar, but we wanted Vantage to express its intent and potency more explicitly. One look and you know it packs a real punch, but there’s an elegance of form and proportion that hints at the sophistication that underpins its raw power.”

Future owners of the Vantage will have customization options, with three core livery designs and 21 exterior colors to choose from, ranging from Ion Blue to Cosmopolitan Yellow. The Q by Aston Martin personalization service offers additional bespoke options.

Inside the cabin, the new Vantage promises top-tier materials, hand-stitched sports seats with extra support, a cutting-edge sound system developed by Bowers & Wilkins, an integrated infotainment screen, and a smart navigation system with 3D mapping.

Amedeo Felisa, Chief Executive Officer at Aston Martin, emphasized the car’s commitment to high performance, stating, “As we enter a period of pivotal change in the world of high-performance cars, it is essential to remain true to those qualities upon which a legendary marque has been built. Any car bearing the Vantage name has much to live up to, which is why this newest model makes an unwavering commitment to high performance in the purest and most explicit form. Class-leading power and speed establish its credentials, but it is through the expert application of the latest technologies to the Vantage’s perfectly balanced front-engine rear-drive chassis that we have created a sports car with addictive capability.”
