Witnessing the Lamborghini Revuelto in action is an entirely different experience compared to reading about it.
The renowned Italian automaker has recently released a new video showcasing its latest supercar as it tears through the Autodromo Piero Taruffi in Vallelunga, situated just north of Rome. The video provides a captivating glimpse into the sheer exhilaration of driving the Revuelto, particularly on the racetrack.
In the video, factory driver Andrea Caldarelli takes the helm of the Revuelto and offers commentary during the three-minute presentation. While this supercar marks Lamborghini’s first series-production hybrid (excluding the limited-edition Sían), Caldarelli’s expressions of delight throughout the clip unmistakably confirm that it remains a true embodiment of the Raging Bull spirit. The exhilaration is palpable right from the start as the driver executes a burnout before rapidly navigating the initial series of bends, making deft maneuvers aided by the car’s active-aero elements. Caldarelli, who is set to drive the new SC63 endurance race car in the upcoming season, spends the rest of the video either accelerating or expertly drifting around the 2.5-mile circuit.
The Revuelto’s prowess shouldn’t come as a surprise. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain comprises a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 engine and three electric motors, delivering a staggering 1,001 hp and 793 ft-lbs of torque. Thanks to this immense power, it can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 mph. The strategic placement of the motors—with two on the front axle and one integrated into the rear-mounted, eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox—provides the car with all-wheel drive, ensuring it boasts more agile handling than nearly any Lamborghini that came before it.
Production of the Revuelto commenced this summer, and deliveries are anticipated to begin by the end of the year. If you haven’t already secured a reservation for your own Revuelto, be prepared for a considerable wait to experience this supercar firsthand. Lamborghini has officially stated that the Revuelto’s order books are full until 2025. The vehicle starts at a base price of $604,000, though this figure can rapidly rise with additional features and options, making it the brand’s most expensive flagship model to date.
