Almost endlessly rich, Ryan Tedder crafted bombastic pop songs (Beyoncé’s “Halo,” Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love,” Adele’s “Rumour Has It,” OneRepublic’s “Apologize”). His Beverly Hills home, which is currently listed for $16.5 million, may have absorbed some of that hit-making magic. Tedder’s wife Genevieve and he bought the house seven years ago for nearly $5 million more.
A notable interior designer team, Trip Haenisch and Hadi Halawani, had recently renovated the classic 1960s midcentury modern home when the Tedders purchased it in 2015. It seems not much has changed since then, aside from some fresh paint and designer light fixtures added to the listing photos.
It’s clear, however, that this place is move-in ready. In addition to a three-car garage and six-car motorcourt, the property sits behind big gates on a half-acre cul-de-sac lot. A large, double-sided fireplace sheathed in exotically grained stone divides the living room and dining/family area of the single-story house. With stark white cabinets and premium stainless appliances, including a glass-fronted refrigerator, a minimalist kitchen is Euro-chic in its simplicity.
On the property are six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, with a foldaway glass door leading directly into the backyard from the primary suite. There’s also a soaking tub and a glassy shower with dual raindrop showerheads. Within the more than 5,000 square feet of interior space, there is a skylit gym, sauna, and office.
It’s no surprise that Tedder’s yard is ideal for entertaining and relaxing, given the (usually) balmy weather of Los Angeles. Multiple outdoor fireplaces and an outdoor kitchen serve a built-in bar flank the notably large swimming pool. Grassy lawns are perfect for playtime, and big trees offer privacy and serenity throughout the property.
It’s listed by Tracy Tutor at Douglas Elliman and is located in Trousdale Estates, a neighborhood filled with groovy midcentury modern homes. Previously, Tedder owned another one, which is just a few streets away from the house he’s selling now. The Grammy winner sold the second house in 2017 to Cindy Crawford, who later sold it to WhatsApp’s billionaire founder.
While Tedder has not yet revealed where he will be moving, he still owns a luxury condo in the West Hollywood Edition complex that is currently up for sale and in escrow with an unknown buyer, as well as an $8 million mansion photographed by Architectural Digest in West Hollywood.
