The 69-year-old mogul recently purchased a bayfront mansion in Newport Beach, California, for a precise sum of $27 million, located not far from the headquarters of his Amen Clinics empire in Costa Mesa.
This Tuscan-style house, built on speculation by a developer, offers a sprawling living space of nearly 9,500 square feet and was completed in 2006. In the same year, it changed hands to auto magnate Fletcher “Ted” Jones Jr., the owner of the world’s largest Mercedes-Benz dealership by volume, and his second wife, Kimberly.
Following the Joneses’ divorce approximately a decade ago, records indicate that Kimberly retained ownership of the extravagant Newport marital residence, although the waterfront property appeared on and off the market for much of the past seven years, with asking prices fluctuating between million and $32 million. During that time, at least two potential buyers made accepted offers, but both transactions ultimately fell through before Dr. Amen made his move.
