The 1,000 Hp Flying Supercar Looks Like a Bugatti and Flies Like a Jet

The prospect of a flying supercar may appear to be a fantastical notion, akin to a visionary creation born from the fusion of Elon Musk’s innovation and Judy Jetson’s futuristic dreams. However, it has materialized in the form of the Fusion JC7 jet-engine concept car.

The brainchild behind this remarkable concept is Greg Brown, a California-based designer whose background includes flying F-18s for the U.S. Navy and piloting Boeing 777s for United Airlines. Brown has dedicated nearly two decades to refining the design of the Fusion JC7, formerly known as the Firenze Lanciare until its recent name change due to pronunciation difficulties. The Fusion JC7 Flying Car Soars Like a Jet and Looks Like a Bugatti – Robb Report

The current renderings depict a vehicle reminiscent of an elongated Bugatti, measuring an impressive 24 feet and 8 inches in length, complete with concealed wings. When the jetcar is parked, its rear stabilizer folds in, reducing its total length by two feet, roughly equivalent to that of a long-bed pickup truck. Brown’s creation distinguishes itself as more than just an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle; it promises exceptional ground speed and full aerial capability.

While on the road, the Firenze will operate as a fully electric vehicle, boasting dual Tesla motors that deliver a combined output of 1,000 horsepower, with one motor positioned at the front and the other at the rear. An impressive torque rating of 920 pounds ensures the JC7 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds. Equipped with LG Chem batteries integrated into its floor, the car offers a substantial 150-mile driving range.
