Just when it seemed the variations on Oceanco’s Simply Custom superyacht were exhausted, the Dutch shipyard unveils a fresh interpretation of the 262-foot vessel named Domino. Designed by Nuvolari Lenard, the renowned Venice-based studio recognized for its work on notable vessels like the 282-foot Lürssen Quattroelle, 267-foot Oceanco Alfa Nero, and the 350-foot Oceanco Black Pearl, Domino introduces groundbreaking features and spaces dedicated to health and wellness.
This newcomer boasts an elegant hull, an elongated bow, and gracefully cascading curved decks. Glass bulwarks on all three decks enhance the seamless connection to the sea. The expansive foredeck serves as a helipad and features a Jacuzzi, while the aft area includes a substantial swimming pool bordered by staircases leading to the swim platform.
According to studio founders Dan Lenard and Carlo Nuvolari, “Across its [Dominos] layout, external form, and internal style distills over 30 years of experience in the business. We believe it represents the state of the art, in terms of beauty and functionality, while also offering an owner a starting point from which to create a yacht that is perfectly suited to them.”
In terms of interior design, the Simply Custom yachts within the 2,500 to 2,700 GT volume range typically include an owner’s stateroom and six guest suites. However, the layout can be further customized to cater to the owner’s preferences.
In the realm of performance, each yacht in the Simply Custom series will feature a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system capable of running on low-carbon biofuels. Additionally, the vessels will incorporate variable speed generators, a highly optimized stabilization system, and podded drives to enhance efficiency and smooth sailing.
Introduced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October 2023, the Simply Custom series comprises 17 vessels customized by different designers. Oceanco plans to unveil the designs in alphabetical order every Tuesday and Saturday, with more revelations expected in the future.
