There’s no secret in reality TV land that OG “Vanderpump Rules” couple Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney are splitting up.
In March, they did what so many TV personalities do when they make a big announcement after their sometimes-uneasy relationship played out on national TV for the last nine seasons of the hit show. Following a dozen years of coupledom and three years of marriage, the couple announced to their combined two-plus-million followers that they were getting a divorce on their individual Instagram accounts.
A month later, as Maloney walked the red carpet at Lisa Vanderpump’s new and characteristically decadent Las Vegas restaurant and bar, she told Page Six she was helping her soon-to-be-ex-Bubba find new homes because their shared home was too big for either of them to live alone. She posted a heartfelt goodbye on Instagram last week, showing her sitting on the floor of their once beloved dining room that she used to “dress up like a Hallmark movie set at Christmas.”
The estranged couple’s no longer happy home in San Fernando Valley had to come up for sale sooner or later. Indeed, it has. With all its Hallmark holiday regalia removed and staged for the selling process with a bunch of generic furnishings, the 3,600-square-foot home is now listed at almost “.75 million.
Their four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home was bought just over three years ago for “.925 million, so they will turn a tidy profit should it sell for close to asking. According to tax records, they purchased the house from showbiz Mark Duplass and Katie Aselton, who owned it for just over a year and probably never occupied it.
Built-in 2016, the unassuming white-clapboard home features inoperable black shutters and mixes familiar and comfortable architectural design motifs with modern features. A relaxing indoor-outdoor lifestyle and easy-going entertaining are the perfect match for the home’s airy, open-plan living spaces that have become so popular in this style in Los Angeles and beyond over the last ten years.

Maloney hosts the podcast “You’re Gonna Love Me with Katie Maloney” outside her role on Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules,” while Schwartz co-owns the West Hollywood hot spot TomTom and is preparing to open a new bar, Schwartz and Sandy’s, with his BFF and “VPR” castmate Tom Sandoval, in Franklin Village.
