The big Encino mansion owned by Logan Paul sold last week after being on the market for several months. He paid $7.5 million for the nearly 9,000-square-foot structure, a nice increase over the $6.6 million he paid in late 2017, but significantly less than he originally planned.
Paul’s friend Colson Baker, better known as Machine Gun Kelly, the rapper-turned-pop-punk musician, is the new owner. A new house is on the market for MGK, 32, who is engaged to longtime girlfriend Megan Fox.
Even though the sale price was .5 million, Paul didn’t make any money. He later shared his YouTube channel with a video showing how he remodeled the interiors after acquiring the estate. A high-tech security system was installed after several trespassers and stalkers gained access to the house. Paul also hired full-time security guards in addition to the guards stationed outside the property 24/7. Curiously, photos included with the current listing show the home as it appeared in 2017, before Paul’s extensive renovations. There are still seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms and eight powder rooms, plus a family room with a custom wet bar and a kitchen with marble countertops and high-end appliances.Originally designed by Robert Byrd in the 1970s, the house has since been overhauled and expanded beyond recognition. An Encino neighborhood pocket, the gunmetal-gray house sits on nearly one flat acre of tree-shaded land. The backyard, which hosts an oversized pool and expansive grounds, including a sprawling patio, big grassy lawn, and a detached guesthouse with one bedroom and one bathroom, was Paul’s favorite amenity during his ownership. The listing also mentions an “amazing outdoor grotto kitchen.”
Despite appearing on Paul’s long-running “Impulsive” podcast, Kelly does not appear to own any other property in Los Angeles. He and Fox lived in a Sherman Oaks rental mansion for most of last year, but they moved out after several disturbing “ghost encounters,” including one particularly creepy ghost who enjoyed watching Kelly get massages from a visiting masseuse at the property.
Paul moved to Puerto Rico’s Dorado Beach last year, where he started renting a $13 million home at the Ritz-Carlton Reserve. In the San Jacinto Mountains of California, about three hours from Encino, the 27-year-old owns a stunning 80-acre ranch.
