Revival Yacht With Its Own Nightclub and Piano Lounge

One seafarer’s missed opportunity could turn into another’s golden chance—at least that’s the hope of Isaac Burrough.

The New Zealand designer recently revealed a gigayacht concept that didn’t come to fruition with one client, with the intention of attracting a new buyer.

The client had approached Burrough’s studio last year to develop a 438-foot vessel based on an earlier 328-foot design. Although the client decided not to move forward with the project, Burrough wasn’t ready to let his creation go to waste. He is now showcasing it in all its splendor.

Named Revival, this superyacht retains the striking silhouette of the original design but extends an additional 100 feet from bow to stern. The new concept also features extensive use of glass both inside and out, giving it a sophisticated and modern look. The four-level atrium, for instance, has full-height glass windows that create a bold exterior profile and a light, airy interior. Likewise, the glass bulwarks aft contribute to the strong exterior form and provide uninterrupted views from the living quarters.

The client had specified that Revival should accommodate “a large number of guests” at sea. Consequently, the yacht includes 17 cabins for up to 36 seafarers and crew quarters for up to 56 crew members. The guest cabins, ranging from 452 to 678 square feet, feature floor-to-ceiling windows or six-foot-high openings that flood the interiors with natural light and offer expansive vistas. The owner’s suite is located on a dedicated deck and includes a private gym, sauna, lounge, office, and terrace.

Revival’s six decks are designed for various activities. The lower deck is ideal for daytime fun by the ocean, featuring a beach club, sports lounge, spa, and yoga rooms. The upper deck is designed for socializing, with a piano lounge and a nearly 2,000-square-foot nightclub.

This is just the beginning of the long list of amenities. The main deck boasts a glass-bottom pool, the bridge deck includes cozy lounges and fire pits, and the sundeck is outfitted with a Jacuzzi and sun pads. Other highlights include a 15-person cinema, a fully stocked library, and a wine and cocktail bar.

In terms of propulsion, Burrough envisions Revival with a next-generation hybrid propulsion system that will allow it to navigate “environmentally sensitive areas using electric-only mode.” This green technology is designed to future-proof the vessel and appeal to a new wave of eco-conscious yachters.

Revival stands out as a fascinating concept, if nothing else.
