Alia Yachts is offering a preview of its latest bespoke cruiser to the global audience.
The Turkish shipyard has unveiled images of the 148-foot SAN during sea trials, ahead of its formal introduction scheduled for fall. Initially launched in May, this superyacht boasts a streamlined, all-aluminum exterior and a unique layout designed primarily for outdoor entertaining.
Designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design for both exterior and interior aesthetics, and engineered by Lateral Naval Architects, SAN showcases a fully open main deck that spans from stern to bow. Its aft bulwarks can fold, extending the outdoor living space. The superstructure is enveloped in floor-to-ceiling glass and features sliding doors at both ends, fostering a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor areas. The raised pilothouse is equally innovative, offering expansive wraparound windows that provide panoramic views.
Outside, the decks are furnished with versatile pieces designed to accommodate various activities: the dining area can convert into a cocktail bar, while sunbathing spots can transform into cozy seating areas. Details about the interior decks are yet to be disclosed, but Alia assures that the décor is contemporary and meticulously crafted to suit the specific tastes of the owners. SAN can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests, featuring four spacious guest cabins and an expansive owner’s suite located on the lower deck.
Commenting on SAN, Alia President Gökhan Çelik emphasized, “SAN is a remarkable and innovative vessel that underscores our capabilities as a truly custom builder. It is projects like this that attract discerning clients from across the globe.”
Apart from SAN, Alia has recently secured contracts for another custom 148-foot superyacht and a tailor-made 141-foot explorer vessel. Presently, the Turkish yard has five yachts in construction, ranging from 141 to 197 feet. Over the past decade, Alia has successfully delivered 10 vessels, including notable builds like the 102-foot Virgen del Mar VI in 2018, the 197-foot Samurai in 2019, and the 180-foot Al Waab II in 2021. Notably, Al Waab II was recognized as the world’s longest steel and aluminum superyacht below 500 GT upon its delivery.
Scheduled for delivery to its owners in June, SAN will make its international debut at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show in September 2024. This unveiling marks another milestone for Alia Yachts, showcasing their commitment to pushing the boundaries of custom yacht craftsmanship and design innovation.
