Futuristic 328-Foot Size Yacht Doubles as Floating Seaport

$300 million is the price you have to pay to own it.

There are no rules about the location of seaports on land, and that’s definitely not the case with Lazzarini, as its latest concept is a multipurpose superyacht that doubles as a dockyard for small tenders.

Lazzarini is claiming that the futuristic 328-foot vessel, called Saturnia, will be half as heavy as comparable-sized ships because it will be forged entirely from dry carbon fiber.

One of the most impressive features is the private port located in midships. It is accessed by two large openings on each side that automatically raise when necessary. This is a unique sheltered area that is easy to access. The wharf is a luxury entryway into your very own floating hotel. Like a normal wharf, it allows seafarers to come and go as well as tenders with drafts of up to five feet.‍

Five floors plus a radar antenna/antenna are included in the interior. High ceilings and large windows enhance the connection with the sea in this area, which can be customized according to the needs of each owner. There are 10 to 20 guest suites in addition to 20 crew cabins.

The Saturnia resort offers an array of luxury amenities, including multiple pools and alfresco dining areas, a launchpad for electric VTOLs (after all, it’s 2021), and a visual feast of a glass-bottom lounge.

Using hybrid propulsion, Lazzarini expects Saturnia to reach a top speed of 30 knots and emit fewer pollutants than conventional vessels.

Despite Lazzarini’s disruptive design history, the firm has previously made mega yachts that resemble sharks and swans, as well as hyperyachts that look like bullets, but this is not a particularly striking design. Saturnia, however, comes at a cost. Lazzarini says it will take approximately 2.5 years to arrive at its seaside location, so start saving. It’s still a pretty penny for all that innovation in design.
