A New Phase of Heesen’s Skyfall Project Begins

2023 is the target completion date for the 196-foot aluminum building.

The 196-foot Project Skyfall, owned by Heesen Yachts in the Netherlands, is currently undergoing engine mounting and superstructure raising.

Heesen’s shed No. 9 is now home to the all-aluminum superyacht where outfitting is expected to continue until spring 2023 when sea trials are expected.

With a cockpit, fighting chair, and 40 rod stowage, Project Skyfall is described as a high-speed, sport-fishing yacht disguised as a yacht.

To accompany the Fast Displacement Hull Form, Omega Architects designed an exterior design with desert tan paint by Awlgrip and gyrostabilizers and interceptor trim plates specified for comfort during displacement.

Using four Kongsberg S90 water jets, four MTU 20V 4000 engines are expected to produce a combined 22,000 horsepower to propel Project Skyfall’s top speed of 37 knots.

According to Heesen, the new Project Skyfall yacht will be their most powerful yacht to date, so Vanquish will build a custom tender based on a Guido de Groot design.
