Breitling and Bentley have been inseparable for nearly two decades, and the relationship continues to grow.
Premier unveiled the B21 Chronograph Tourbillon 42 Bentley Limited Edition earlier this week in collaboration with the legendary car manufacturer. This new timepiece represents the very beginning of the partnership between the two brands, and is one of the most exclusive the two brands have ever collaborated on.
Originally designed in 2002, the Bentley Continental GT’s onboard clock inspired the watchmaker to create the watch’s tourbillon case at 12 o’clock. In the 1940s, Willy Breitling, the grandson of the watchmaker’s founder, designed the Premier wristwatch and patented the two-pusher chronograph. Featuring a 42 mm case made of 18 karat red gold, square pushers, a gold-brown alligator strap and a transparent case back, the Premier B21 Chronograph Tourbillon is limited to 25 pieces. The real highlight, though, is the tourbillon caliber and cage that can be seen through the timepiece’s distinctive British racing green dial. The COSC-certified movement has 55 hours of power reserve and is 100 meters water resistant.
Aside from that new watch, Breitling also released six new watches in three categories: the Premier Heritage Chronograph 40, the Premier Heritage Duograph 42, and the Premier Heritage Datora 42. Featuring vintage-inspired hands, alligator straps with tone-on-tone stitching, and 100-meter water resistance, each watch is certified by the COSC and comes with a secondary dial color option.
It’s not surprising that the latest Breitlings won’t be cheap. The star is the exclusive Premier B21 Chronograph Tourbillon 42 Bentley Limited Edition, which costs $52,000. Premier Heritage Chronograph 40, Premier Heritage Duograph 42, Premier Heritage Datora 42, and Premier Heritage Duograph 42 are available for $8,400, $10,250, and $12,950, respectively.
