New Color for Hublot’s Big Bang Unico Watch

There are only 200 examples of the lagoon-inspired watch.

Hublot’s latest watch is made for the summer, even though fine watches are eternal.

Among the Unico 42mm series, the Swiss luxury watchmaker recently released a turquoise, limited-edition watch in turquoise, as well as the Unico Yellow Magic, Unico Titanium Rainbow, and Unico Titanium models. With a 42mm case and bezel crafted entirely from satin-finished and polished anodized aluminum, the lagoon-inspired timepiece is available in only 200 examples and is appropriatedly named the Big Bang Unico Summer.

Besides the dial and hand, the distinctive tone is also incorporated into the figure’s markers and chronographs, which are also a part of the tonal theme. As well as its front-facing skeletonized dial, Hublot’s HUB1280 in-house flyback column-wheel chronograph movement can be clearly seen on its titanium case back.‍

Designed for smaller chronographs, the Unico 2 movement offers 72 hours of power and 100 meters of water resistance. A new, flatter automatic winding system allows for a 1.3mm reduction in thickness of the model, while retaining the unique design of its former version with a double coupling system.

With its turquoise knit velcro strap and turquoise stitching, the figure is comfortable, while its turquoise anodized aluminum sport buckle keeps it secure. It manufactures its universe of wristwatches in its own metallurgy and materials laboratory, which uses the latest technology to create materials as per reference. The Big Bang Unico Summer is crafted with scratch-proof 18 karat Magic Gold, rubber straps, ceramics and sapphire casings, a few of which highlight its refreshing design.

With 43 colorful jewels encapsulated within its movement for character and sapphire crystal detailing for visibility on the beach or in direct sunlight, the new titanium figure is just $2,100 more than the Unico Titanium, the series’ least colorful titanium figure. Among Big Bang Unico’s 71 models, this colorful piece is sure to complement relaxed vacation clothing.

It’s available exclusively at Hublot.com for $20,900.
