The company is collaborating with NASA and gaming legend Hideo Kojima’s Kojima Productions.
With its four editions centered around a watch inspired by Luden’s Extra-Vehicular Activity (EVA) Creative Suit, which was created by Luden’s original designer, Yoji Shinkawa, and has the NASA logo debossed on the dial, the collection was named after the studio’s digital astronaut mascot, Space Ludens.
With its 316 stainless steel case and bracelet, the watch is crafted with a ‘mecha space armor’ aesthetic while the Kojima Productions motto “From Sapiens to Ludens” is engraved on the bezel.
A sapphire crystal case back reveals the Miyota 8215 automatic movement inside, while Anicorn provides both a stainless steel bracelet and a leather strap with a carbon fiber pattern.
The Rare Edition, priced at $1,540, of the watch, is limited to 100 pieces and comes with a wearable 1:1 Ludens skull mask in carbon fiber, which is built to ‘movie props standards’. A limited edition of 500 watches will also be available, priced at $940, with a numbered metal plate.
Lastly, the Space Ludens collection features a Ludens Sacoche, $125, inspired by the Ludens carrier, and a Space Ludens NASA Tee, $68.
