Bryson DeChambeau’s Rolex was unmissable as he lifted the U.S. Open trophy at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina on Sunday.

The 30-year-old American golfer edged out Rory McIlroy by a single stroke, winning with a six-under-par total of 274. DeChambeau’s watch, a two-tone Submariner “Bluesy,” caught the eye as he celebrated his victory.

Rolex first introduced the two-tone Submariner (Ref. 16803) in 1984. However, DeChambeau’s watch (Ref. 126613LB) is from a collection released in the fall of 2020. This fourth-generation Submariner Date features a slightly larger case, measuring 41 mm compared to the previous 40 mm, and has thinner, more refined lugs. It is powered by a modern automatic movement (Caliber 3235), which offers an increased power reserve of approximately 70 hours, compared to the 48 hours provided by earlier models.

DeChambeau’s Bluesy retails for $15,600, a modest amount for the golfer now. The total purse for the 2024 U.S. Open was a record-breaking $21.5 million, up from $20 million last year, making it the largest amount ever awarded in a men’s major championship. DeChambeau, who previously won the U.S. Open in 2020 during the pandemic, took home $4.3 million. This is the second-largest winner’s check of the year, surpassed only by the $4.5 million Scottie Scheffler received for winning the Players Championship. Interestingly, Scheffler also wore a Submariner when he won, suggesting this Rolex model might bring luck on the golf course.
