Kourtney Kardashian is closing out the summer with a charming rural retreat.
On August 31, the 45-year-old reality star shared an Instagram update about her idyllic escape with husband Travis Barker, 48. The post was captioned, “POV: you live on a farm, adopt a dog together and shoot clay pigeons for sport.” The photos highlighted a cozy fireplace, coordinated mint green bicycles, garden blooms, and a serene private pond.
Their rustic adventure also featured encounters with a pig, a swan and its ducklings, and a dog. Barker responded in the comments with a cheerful “Happy wife, happy life.”
In the pictures, Barker and Kardashian are seen leaning against a wooden gate, surrounded by expansive fields. After a hectic summer, this tranquil getaway provided a much-needed respite from their busy lives.
Throughout the summer, the couple has been on the go. Barker was busy touring with Blink-182, while Kardashian took their 10-month-old son, Rocky Thirteen, to London and Australia to support him. She also attended his Los Angeles concert and supported him at a fitness event.
In July, Kardashian hosted a beachside party to celebrate their daughter Penelope’s 12th birthday. The celebration featured pink beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels. Kardashian and Penelope were seen in coordinating pink pajamas, adding a chic touch to the occasion.
Aside from Penelope, Kardashian is also a mother to Mason, 14, and Reign, 9, from her previous relationship with Scott Disick. Barker, on the other hand, has two children, Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18, from his former marriage to Shanna Moakler, and he is also a stepfather to Atiana De La Hoya, 25.
In a July interview with PEOPLE, Barker expressed his joy in fatherhood. “The most wonderful thing you could do at any time in your life is have a baby or bring a human being into this world,” he shared. “I love being a dad. That’s my favorite accomplishment; it’s my favorite thing I get to do every day.”
