Jessica Alba’s hiking trip took an unexpectedly adventurous twist.
On Wednesday, August 14, the 43-year-old actress and Honest Company founder shared an Instagram carousel filled with photos and videos from her family’s trip to Austria, which featured some nerve-wracking moments from her climb—89 of them, as she humorously noted.
“What we thought would be a leisurely #hike turned into about 89 near-death experiences — it was basically rock climbing without ropes,” Alba wrote. She shares three children with her husband, Cash Warren: daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, and son Hayes, 6.
She added, “To be honest, Hayes, Haven, and @cashwarren took the grassy route, but a group of us girls decided to tackle the longer, tougher waterfall route.”
“Honor burst into tears after seeing a snake and I nearly fainted looking down a few cliffs (#scaredofheights) but we made it!!” she continued. “I’ve never felt more like a city girl in my life — hence my dramatics ”
The first photo shows Alba posing solo against a picturesque mountain backdrop. Another shot features the Trigger Warning actress with some of her friends, including celebrity fitness trainer Ramona Braganza. A video capturing hiking highlights shows Honor crying after encountering the snake and Warren joining in a yodeling session.
“And sweet Cash in this video just melts my heart — our guide Louis asked him to yodel, and it was everything. He was such a good sport,” Alba added.
The post also included clips from a golf outing, where she practiced her swing alongside Warren and two friends.
“Our #golf morning was insanely gorgeous!,” she wrote. “We went to Golfclub Wilder Kaiser in Ellmau, which is one of the most stunning spots I’ve ever played — the views and course were unbelievable.”
Alba wrapped up the post by expressing her appreciation for Bio-Hotel Stanglwirt, an organic farm and luxury resort in Austria’s Tyrol region with breathtaking views of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps.
This Austrian getaway was just one of the memorable vacations the family enjoyed this summer.
On Sunday, August 11, Alba shared clips from their recent trip to the Greek island of Mykonos, where they indulged in local cuisine, swam in the ocean, and relaxed on a boat.
She also offered recommendations for fellow travelers, noting, “There are sooo many delicious restaurants with the best vibes, food & views on the island.”
Her suggestions ranged from beachside bars with entertainment, like Scorpios, to more upscale dining spots such as Nōema.
“Grateful for an amazing week in paradise,” Alba wrote.
