First Superyacht Marina in Maldives

The Maldives, known for its luxury resorts—172 as of now—is about to welcome a unique addition with Atoll Estates’ new project.

Founded by hospitality veterans Amit Majumder and Dmitry Bourtov, the UAE-based company is creating an extraordinary destination with unprecedented regional facilities.

Spanning 500 hectares of a natural lagoon in the South Malé Atoll, Zamani Islands will feature eight islands, three distinct resorts, a range of luxurious private residences, and numerous amenities. It will also house the Maldives’ first superyacht marina and the country’s inaugural medical spa. Furthermore, Zamani Islands will be the region’s first resort to operate entirely on renewable energy.

“Our goal was to create a resort that truly embodies sustainability, benefiting both people and the environment,” Majumder and Bourtov stated. “Zamani Islands aims to set new standards for lifestyle destinations in the Maldives and worldwide.”

In collaboration with Dubai-based architectural firm Killa Design, the three resorts will each offer unique experiences: Vibrant focuses on “experiential luxury,” Elegant on “uber luxury,” and Dvnes on “youthful vibes.” Accommodations will range from stylish apartments to lavish overwater villas.

Located just 21 miles from the main international airport, Zamani Islands will also feature private estates and mansions. Atoll Estates reports that 14 residences are currently available for off-plan purchase. Designed with Ukrainian studio YoDezeen, these beachfront homes will have four to eight bedrooms, contemporary decor, and high-quality natural materials. They will include multiple private pools, a cinema, a spa, a wellness area, and a gym. Each residence will also come with personal butler service and a marina berth, with access to the resort’s amenities such as a yacht club, three spas, a convention center, and 26 restaurants and bars, including the largest underwater restaurant in the Maldives.

Zamani Islands will prioritize sustainability, running on 100 percent renewable energy and potentially producing up to 50 percent of its own food. Atoll Estates has chosen eco-friendly construction materials and implemented a coral relocation and propagation program, ensuring a more environmentally conscious stay.
