As summer winds down, Anne Hathaway’s vacation highlights have certainly made an impression!
On Monday, September 2, the 41-year-old actress shared a collection of summer moments on Instagram, captioning the photo montage with a series of emojis:
The series of images included breathtaking landscapes and delectable food scenes. Among the snapshots were vibrant watermelon rinds, frothy cappuccinos, and honey being drizzled into a cup of tea. A striking bunch of red cherries also featured prominently in her post.
Hathaway was seen striking poses against ancient ruins atop a hill and enjoying a sunhat by the water’s edge.
One standout feature of her summer recap was her wrist adorned with friendship bracelets from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which she attended at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
The Princess Diaries star also offered glimpses into her more serene moments. One photo showed Hathaway applying under-eye patches in a selfie, while another captured her in a mirror at a Pilates studio.
In addition, Hathaway shared a snapshot of her Amazon Prime queue displaying two of her films, The Idea of You and Mother’s Instinct.
The summer highlight reel concluded with a tranquil video of sparkling waters, capturing the sunset as the camera panned over the surrounding scenery.
Before her summer getaway, Hathaway had been busy promoting her film The Idea of You, adapted from Robinne Lee’s 2017 novel of the same name. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in March, Hathaway expressed her enthusiasm for portraying her character, Soléne. “In the beginning of the film, the character…she’s really scared of going on that adventure because she’s had such a rough experience with her ex-husband. And so to me, I was incredibly moved by the opportunity to tell the story of a woman blooming,” she shared.
She also touched on the need for more stories about personal growth at any stage of life. “I don’t know why we don’t have more stories about human beings blooming at any age. We’re always coming of age, all the time,” she added.
Nicholas Galitzine, Hathaway’s co-star in the film, praised her in a May interview with PEOPLE. He described Hathaway as “radiant” and admired her versatility and talent. “Annie’s someone who perfectly encapsulates the type of career that I want for myself in the sense that she’s incredibly versatile. She really is so gifted,” he said.
Galitzine, 29, also noted their immediate connection. “She’s obviously this extremely radiant, beautiful human being,” he remarked, adding that they quickly bonded and recognized the potential for their characters to shine.
