Several colorways have been rumored, including “Chicago,” “Royal,” all white, and white/black.
In 2020, Dior (PARIS:CDI.PA -0.14%) joined forces with Jordan Brand to release the Air Jordan 1 “Air Dior,” which became one of the most hyped sneaker collaborations of all time. With its clean color scheme, oblique jacquard Swoosh and eye-watering $2,000 USD price tag (which seems like a bargain now as it is regularly resold for four times that amount), the “Air Dior” is more than just a shoe. As a cultural touchpoint from a turbulent year, Kim Jones and Thibo Denis, along with Jumpman’s design team, worked artfully. It has now been reported that the partners will do it even bigger in 2021: rumors are circulating that four more “Air Dior” colorways will be released.
Jaysee Lopez, founder of Urban Necessities, recently claimed that we’d see “Chicago”, “Royal” and “Black/White” colorways in 2021. It was only exacerbated when noted leak account Mr. Unloved 1s weighed in on Lopez’s claims on Twitter, claiming that he had also heard about the “Chicago” and “Royal” colorways, but that there was no white-black pair, instead an all-white style and that one pair would be for women.
Aside from the mock-ups shown above, there are no official confirmations from Dior or Jordan Brand about any of these rumored styles at the time of writing. There will likely be more information in the coming weeks and months if any of these rumors hold true.
