A private island resort in the Maldives is offering a new and exciting experience for sports enthusiasts.
COMO Maalifushi has partnered with the Rafa Nadal Academy to launch a special padel camp for guests. Scheduled from October 20 to 26, this six-day event will provide players of all skill levels with the opportunity to enhance their padel skills and fitness on the resort’s newly opened padel court.
The training program, crafted by Nadal and his technical team from his renowned academy in Mallorca, will be implemented at COMO Maalifushi. The Academy’s seasoned coaches will cover the basics of the fast-paced sport, offering valuable tips and insights suitable for both beginners and advanced players.
Maribel Nadal, the younger sister of the tennis legend and co-director of the Rafa Nadal Academy, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We are thrilled to introduce our training methods to such a unique and stunning location,” she said. “We are eager to offer guests an unforgettable experience in the Maldives.”
Participants will engage in rigorous training sessions and customized workouts designed to quickly boost their technique, agility, and stamina. Players will be grouped by their skill levels to maximize the benefit of the camp. Training sessions will be held daily from 7 to 10 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m., with a more relaxed padel camp available for children.
In addition to the intensive training, guests can interact with former tennis pro Anabel Medina Garrigues and enjoy a BBQ lunch with fellow padel enthusiasts amidst the Maldivian backdrop. The resort itself features 65 suites and villas, some of which are overwater with swim-up terraces, while others include private pools. Guests can also enjoy two restaurants, a comprehensive wellness program, and a range of outdoor activities such as diving and surfing.
