Johnny Depp is relishing his time in the Bahamas!

On Wednesday, August 28, the 61-year-old actor enjoyed a lively visit to the High Tide Cafe, where he connected with bartender Ralph Zoilo. Zoilo, known on Instagram as “killerbartender,” posted several photos and videos documenting Depp’s visit. One clip shows Depp savoring a drink that Zoilo crafted for him, while another features Depp behind the bar holding up a beverage, with Zoilo beside him, playfully waving money in his hands.

In a video shared by Zoilo, Depp humorously references his iconic Pirates of the Caribbean character, Jack Sparrow, saying, “I know why the rum will be gone.” He adds with a grin, “It’s not gone yet, that I know. But I know how to make it go away.” Depp then jokes about the quality of the rum, saying, “Bad— rum — truly, you got to copyright this immediately,” as he shares a friendly embrace with Zoilo.

Zoilo also posted a montage of Depp’s visit on Instagram, expressing his excitement in a comment. He revealed that Depp had been staying on a nearby island in the Bahamas for a week and had come to visit him specifically for his “#housespecialdrink.” Zoilo described the encounter as a “once in a lifetime moment with Mr. Depp” in his caption.

Before his Bahamian getaway, Depp had maintained a relatively low profile throughout the summer. However, he was spotted enjoying the Mediterranean with his friend Will Smith in July, according to PEOPLE. That same month, Depp made headlines for his performance with Andrea Bocelli at the renowned Italian singer’s three-day concert event held at the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico, Italy. Depp played guitar alongside Bocelli, 65, for the song “En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor,” in tribute to the late guitarist Jeff Beck.

More recently, Depp paid tribute to the late actor Tamayo Perry, who tragically passed away in a shark attack in June. Perry had appeared with Depp in the 2011 Pirates of the Caribbean film On Stranger Tides. Depp honored Perry in an Instagram Story, writing, “Even though it was some years ago now, I remember Tamayo well. A lovely man, with a huge heart and zest for life.”
