A Road Trip in the Italian Countryside Inspired by the ‘Ferrari’ Movie

Ferrari has ignited a global desire for high-speed adventures reminiscent of the legendary Enzo himself, and Red Savannah is well-equipped to fulfill that yearning. Renowned for crafting thematic journeys inspired by cultural icons such as Bridgerton and Coco Chanel, the luxury tour company has introduced a novel itinerary in celebration of Michael Mann’s latest film. Based on the 1991 biography “Enzo Ferrari: The Man, the Cars, the Races, the Machine” by motorsport journalist Brock Yates, the movie chronicles a challenging period in Enzo Ferrari’s life, portrayed by Adam Driver. Red Savannah’s “Ferrari, Sunsets, and Super Tuscans” expedition promises to immerse travelers in the essence of the esteemed marque’s founder, ensuring a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Over the course of eight days, participants will have the unique opportunity to navigate the picturesque landscapes of northern and central Italy behind the wheel of a Ferrari F8 Tributo. Notably, Adam Driver was unable to drive an actual Ferrari during filming due to insurance constraints. The journey encompasses a visit to Enzo Ferrari’s birthplace in Modena, offering a chance to showcase driving prowess on a nearby race track. Additionally, travelers can explore the remarkable classic car collection at the Stanguellini Museum and witness the Lamborghini Urus assembly line in Motor Valley, providing a well-rounded automotive experience.

Culinary enthusiasts will also find delight in this adventure. The itinerary includes stops for savoring some of Italy’s finest wines, such as Barolo and Chianti, accompanied by tastings of renowned local delicacies like Parmigiano Reggiano and balsamic vinegar. Dining highlights encompass an evening at Massimo Bottura’s Michelin three-star restaurant, Osteria Francescana, and a lunch at Ferrari’s restaurant dating back to 1950.

The journey commences in Milan and traverses through the picturesque Piedmont hills to reach Parma, Modena, and the famed Motor Valley. It then extends southward across the Apennine Mountains, Fiesole hills, and Chianti, concluding in Tuscany. After each exhilarating day, participants can unwind in luxurious accommodations ranging from hotels and historic estates to even a Tuscan castle.

The cost of the trip, based on double occupancy, is $45,109 during the high season, $41,002 in the mid-season, and $37,237 in the low season. This comprehensive fee covers airport transfers, accommodation, activities, and car rental. An added perk is the option for upgrades to an SF90 Stradale or 812 GTS, adding an extra layer of indulgence that would undoubtedly be appreciated by Enzo himself.
