In the 10,000 square foot home, there are hand-painted ceilings, imported tilework and furniture that was custom-made for the home.
It’s no secret that well-known fashion designer Sue Wong has dressed the likes of Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel in her glittering gowns, so when it came to styling her Los Angeles mansion, she did it in a way that stayed true to what her label is known for: glamorous glamour.
In the past two years, Wong has spent considerable time creating her own North African-themed retreat in Los Feliz, inspired by her experience in Morocco, and now that property has been placed on the market according to Rich Report. There are no more than 10300 square feet of living space available in the estate, which has undergone a major $3 million facelift courtesy of Wong, currently listed for .9 million.
The only way she was able to achieve her goal was to work with local Moroccan artisans who were able to craft whatever furnishings and décor she was unable to find from overseas with the help of their expertise in order to reach her goal. As a matter of fact, all of these factors are incorporated into the price of the sale as a matter of fact.
This six-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence is decorated in a Moorish style throughout, which is evident throughout the entire house. In the foyer of this house you will find soaring archways and in the living room, you will find hand-painted ceilings and throughout the house there will be ornate chandeliers that will catch your eye. Several of the sinks and countertops could even be found in countries other than the United States of America.
There is a continuation of the theme outside the home, with bronze doors and soaring 20-foot walls made from imported tiles, giving the impression that you are entering a royal palace as you enter the house. It is surrounded by lush greenery, and the center of the property is surrounded by a black obsidian pool, a covered terrace, a bar, an arbor, and a barbecue area where guests are able to relax.
A Douglas Elliman agent, Ernie Carswell, who holds the listing along with Kendra Wilkinson and Spencer Daley, explained to the Post that the two-story entertaining lounge has a central bar and enough space for hundreds of guests, but is internally disguised as a library. A central bar is located in the entertainment lounge, which has the size of a nightclub.
Furthermore, a grand dining room that overlooks the sparkling pool can also be found elsewhere in the hotel as well. The primary suite comes with a sitting room, its own en suite bath, and its own dressing room – all of which have been exquisitely decorated with gold trim and crimson hues – and all are just as impressive with its own sitting room, en suite bath, and dressing room as well.
