A number of Los Angeles Rams players have been on a real estate blitz during the NFL off-season. Over the last couple months, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald both put their swank homes on the market, while Matthew Stafford — who bought a $19.6 million home just last year — also purchased two more Drake houses.
In the Hidden Hills gated community, Sean McVay is taking a page out of their playbook, having purchased a brand-new farmhouse spread. Records show the 36-year-old Ohio native bought the house for million, a discounted price from its original listing of $15.5 million.
As a head coach of the newly relocated Rams, McVay already owns an Encino home he bought in 2017 for $2.7 million — right after accepting the position. It’s no secret, however, that McVay plans to marry Ukrainian model Veronika Khomyn this summer and then start a family with her; it’s likely that this house will be their new home.
There was once a four-bedroom structure on the property constructed in the early 1960s, but it has since been razed to create an elegant new home with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. In addition to 9,000 square feet of Jae Omar-designed living space featuring glitzy amenities — a movie theater, gym, wet bar, and two marble wine displays, just to name a few — the home boasts six bedrooms and seven baths.
An expansive motorcourt and four-car garage front this two-story stucco and wood-clad home on a flat 1.4-acre parcel. An entrance glassy opens into a striking double-height, oak-paneled foyer topped by a chandelier and skylights, displaying a striking staircase that appears to be floating.
On the main floor, you’ll find a spacious living room anchored by a fireplace flanked by built-in bookshelves, as well as walls of glass that lead out to a covered dining and entertaining area. Additionally, there is an office, a formal dining room, a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinets, marble countertops, an island eat-in, Miele appliances, and a butler’s pantry.
A sumptuous five-bedroom upstairs suite features a fireplace sitting area, breakfast bar, balcony, and two showroom-style closets. The master suite rests under a vaulted wood beam ceiling. A luxe bathroom is equipped with dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a steam shower; and outside, the grounds feature a fire-pit lounge area nestled alongside an infinity-edge pool and spa, along with a built-in barbecue.
There were two brokers representing McVay: Tomer Fridman and Marc Shevin of Compass, and Josh Altman and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman.
