In addition to Emma Stone securing a Golden Globe for her role in “Poor Things,” the renowned actress has chosen to divest from her Los Angeles real estate holdings.
Stone, who has a permanent residence in Austin, Texas, has listed her Spanish-style bungalow in the Comstock Hills area of Westwood for nearly $4 million. Although this is approximately $1.7 million more than what she paid for it almost five years ago in spring 2019, Stone extensively renovated the property during her ownership. The improvements included expanding the kitchen and adding a one-bedroom guesthouse with its own kitchen and living room, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Built in the 1920s, the house is characterized by its charming features, such as wood-beam ceilings and wide arched doorways. The property comprises four bedrooms and an equal number of baths within a little over 3,200 square feet of living space. A gated driveway leads to the stucco and terracotta-roofed structure, which sits behind a brick walkway and a grassy lawn.
The entrance opens into an original tiled courtyard, and the interior showcases a curving iron-railed staircase in the entry foyer, leading down to a light-filled living room with a fireplace, built-in shelving, and French doors to the outside. Additional features include a formal dining area, a sitting room connected to an eat-in kitchen with white wood cabinetry, a turquoise-hued range, and a farmhouse sink. The primary bedroom boasts a stylish bath with a vintage clawfoot soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower.
Apart from this Westwood property and her Texas mansion, Stone also owns an upscale apartment in New York City. In 2022, she sold a midcentury ranch-style house overlooking Malibu’s Las Tunas Beach to David Cooley, the longtime owner of The Abbey Food & Bar in West Hollywood, for $4.4 million, nearly $1.2 million more than what she paid for it in 2018.
