The news has been circulating for weeks that music superstar Aubrey “Drake” Graham has been in hot pursuit of Robbie Williams’ huge estate in the mountains above Beverly Hills. However, this week, records confirm that the “Hotline Bling” rapper actually purchased the Benedict Canyon property of the British “Angels” crooner.
A big spread listed for $85 million was shopped around to financial qualified buyers, but records show it transferred for $75 million. Neither broker could be reached for comment, but Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency represented the seller, while Marc Bretter of Maywood Property Group represented the buyer.Williams, who acquired the Tuscan-style estate from Guess cofounder Armand Marciano in 2015 for “just” $32.7 million, still made a nice profit on the sale. Tax records show the stucco and terracotta-roofed structure was originally built in 2001 by KAA Design Group and offers a staggering 24,000-plus square feet of contemporary living space on two levels.
Williams and his wife Ayda Field are believed to have recently given the home’s traditionally Mediterranean-themed and beige interiors a clean, contemporary update, complete with white paint, new lighting fixtures and plenty of marble.
This elegant home sits on 20+ acres in the 90210, making it one of the largest estates in prime Los Angeles, but less than half of that land is flat and usable. The home includes manicured gardens, a brick motorcourt, and an 11-car garage. With glitzy amenities like an elevator, wine cellar, gym, and game room, the large rooms inside are perfect for entertaining. There are seven bedrooms and 13 baths in the main house, plus three staff bedrooms and a staff kitchen in a separate staff wing. As well as formal living and dining rooms, the gourmet kitchen boasts a breakfast nook and library, and there are two family rooms, one of which doubles as a movie theater. The palatial grounds also include a guesthouse, mosaic-tiled pool, an indoor-outdoor kitchen, and a tennis court that’s “hidden.
Drake has unsurprisingly decided to sell his previous Los Angeles properties, a contiguous trio in guard-gated Hidden Hills, for a combined price of $22 million. Additionally, he owns a 50,000-square-foot mega-mansion in Toronto’s affluent Bridle Path neighborhood.
In the meantime, Williams is reportedly moving into a palatial rental mansion in guard-gated Beverly Park. Additionally, he and Field once owned a lavish Malibu vacation home, which they sold to Aaron Rodgers in 2019 for $28 million.
