Clay Matthews is leaving the City of Angels for good after a brief stint with the Rams. The former Green Bay Packers star is listing the sprawling mansion he once considered his forever home. The home was built from scratch by Matthews and his partner, Casey Noble. As Matthews is currently a free agent, the couple will be moving to Nashville to be closer to family. carefully constructed digs could be yours, then, if you’ve got a spare $30 million sitting around.In 2013, Matthews bought the land that he built on for $2.6 million in the Oaks of Calabasas, a gated community that has attracted celebrities like Justin Bieber and the Kardashians over the years. His residence sits on its own 1.65 acres.‍

It was designed in a French Provincial style with stately arches alternating with rustic elements such as salvaged wood ceiling beams. Among the highlights of the 14,000-square-foot house is an 800-gallon aquarium in the library, which was featured on Animal Planet’s show Tanked. Matthews’s fish collection includes clownfish, triggerfish and eels from far-flung locations such as Australia, Indonesia and Hawaii, according to The Wall Street Journal. Matthews and Noble used a secret room hidden behind a bookshelf in the library to house a safe. It can also be used as a panic room or additional storage.Basement amenities include a theater with 15 seats, a wine cellar, and a garage that can accommodate about 10 cars and is accessible from the street. A private balcony overlooks the grounds from the primary suite of the 11-bedroom, eight-bath property.‍

The outdoor spaces include a pool and spa, a sports court, a garden, a goldfish pond, and a fire pit for entertaining alfresco. But since Matthews paid so much for the lot, he has room to expand it even further – though not enough to create a football field.
